Luis T heis - Venezuela

He made a series of paintings where he represents everyday scenes, characters in solitude, scenes with different types of vehicles and uses cardboard boxes as a support. Take advantage of the aesthetics that this material gives you to lean on the fortuitous graphics that this support also gives you.

The "Executions" project seeks to approach the growing problem of extrajudicial executions by the armed forces of the Venezuelan State through art. The lack of official records or figures in relation to the problem of executions obscures the serious magnitude and its consequences, the Venezuelan state has institutionalized death as a policy of social control.

reflects through interventions on aerial photographs of the city of Caracas, specifically of Petare, San Agustín and El Paraíso, inquiring about the limits between neighborhoods and the "organized" city on the territory and how the construction of the urban landscape is manifested as a legacy of practices and methodologies of dominance, of transformations linked to processes of constitution and violent reorganizations.
